Many builders and their representatives will tell you that you don't need and advocate on your side. However, time and again, buyers discover that no matter how nice the Builders Representative is, they are employed by the builder and the builder looks out for its own interest first. As long as things go smoothly (spoiler alert they rarely do) you will have no problems.  However, an experienced agent will be on your side the entire time. 

Not only do I work with you to select the best builder to fit your needs, my extensive knowledge of builders and their contracts give me an edge to negotiate. Not only do I save my clients, time and money, but many times I can get more included in the purchase than the builder was planning to offer. Once the contract is completed, I continue to work with you from ground breaking, to pre-drywall inspections, final inspections and closing. 

There is "a lot" to consider when building a custom home. Do you need to buy a lot to build? If so - Do you know how to select a buildable lot? Do you understand the costs to prep a lot that include land clearing, utilities, impact fees, zoning requirements and more? 

Selecting a custom builder is also an important decision. You will be working with this person or team for at least a year and you want to have the confidence in their knowledge, ability to communicate and that they can complete the job on time and on budget.
